Zalyia (Za) Grillet has over eight years of experience helping to create innovative and user-centric products for local, state, and federal clients. She is an Afro-Caribbean UX Strategist, who uses her love of human-centered design to tell unique, innovative stories through her work. In her career, she has worked with experience brands such as Baublebar, General Electric Digital, Deloitte Digital and more. 

Zalyia mentors young designers and entrepreneurs as well as deliver talks, lectures and workshops across the U.S. Some topics include human-centered design, entrepreneurship, accessibility in design, women of color in tech, deep empathy and diversity and inclusion in design. Outside of her day to day job, she uses her experience strategy firm, Z.Grillet&Co., to advance her goals of educating and empowering others, especially people of color, to learn how to create phenomenal experiences in any business, industry, or lifestyle through human-centered design.

In her spare time, Zalyia is a serial entrepreneur with two flourishing businesses -- Z.Grillet&Co, an experience strategy firm specializing in digital innovation and human experiences, and her floral, gift and stationery shoppe, Love, Sylvie. In honor of her recently deceased parents, she leverages her skills as a UX professional to curate meaningful and bespoke experiences for the intentional human. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with the cutest project manager, her dog Kingston. If she learned anything through her experiences, it would be her late promise to herself to “take her time but never waste her time.”
