Janaki Kumar is the Head of Design at JP Morgan Chase’s Commercial Bank, USA where she and her team combine Fintech and Proptech with best in class user experience to delight customers. Her mission is to humanize financial services by re-imagining the end to end customer experience, and to spark a culture of innovation at the bank.

Prior to JP Morgan Chase, Janaki was the head of the Design and Co-Innovation Center at SAP Labs, Palo Alto, where, she delivered award-winning products and services that help businesses transform the way they work. She enjoys building, coaching and inspiring high-performance design teams, leveraging design-thinking, customer empathy, and co-innovation.

She co-authored the book Gamification at Work – Designing Engaging Business Software. She was a speaker at a TEDx conference and a co-instructor at Stanford’s Graduate School Business LEAD course on Customer Experience Design: A Neuroscience Perspective. She is an inventor on over 20 patents. She has a Masters in Information Systems from Boston University, and attended the Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University.

Janaki was named a Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2016.
