Sonja Meriläinen is a Senior User Researcher at Zalando – Europe's leading platform for fashion and lifestyle. She drives research on the B2B side of the organisation, empowering fashion brands to manage and scale their online businesses.
Originally from Finland and now living in Germany, Sonja has been working as a researcher and service designer in both countries. Her experience spans across design agencies, product companies and the educational sector. She holds a Masters degree in international design business management from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture.
Sonja enjoys engaging stakeholders in research activities and empowering product teams to conduct their own research. She is an active educator, lecturing regularly on design thinking, service design and user research in universities in Germany. She also runs research training for companies.
