UX as a career discipline is coming of age, that means the generalist titles of "UX" and "Design" are no longer meaningful. We have to evolve, we have to adapt to the realities of an age where the "web industry" has expanded to become the "tech industry". For many of us that will mean leaving the identities of "UX" and "Design" behind.In this short talk, I'll provide a walk-through of the changes our discipline has faced in the last 10 years, and provide some ideas on future roles we need to play, to ensure our technological solutions are ethical, valuable and user-centred.
